Short Bio

Ramzel is a rock band from Austin, Texas. Their music is recognizable for its blend of grunge and shoegaze influences, characterized by soaring vocals, “wall-of-sound” distorted guitars, and explosive drums.

Formed in 2017 as a folk-inspired solo act, Ramzel evolved into a collective when singer-songwriter Ryan Ramzel assembled a full band to record their debut album, Doss. The original lineup consisted of Nelson Laflin on drums, Austin Ondrusek on bass, Aaron Zachary on guitar, and Mason Parva (of Guest Rooms) on keys. With the addition of these new members, the band's sound migrated from the stark and atmospheric folk landscapes of Ryan Ramzel’s earlier work and began to incorporate darker, heavier rock influences.

Their sophomore album “Pleaser” was released on September 22, 2023.
